pre-requisite: Level 1: Getting Started with Penda Science 

Delivered on-site or via webinar, “Power Up Your Penda Game: Get More out of Penda Science” provides educators who already have an active Penda teacher account with a brief review of Level 1 competencies and a chance to collaboratively discuss their implementations and experiences with a Penda Science Certified Trainer. Various Penda use cases will then be showcased and unpacked, expanding educator’s repertoire and maximizing Penda Science’s impact - the purpose and use of assessment activities and resulting line-item analysis reports, a real-world classroom scenario that leverages Penda classroom intervention groups and reports to provide RTI Tier 2 interventions, a school case study showing how to use Penda features and activities to strategically target Level 2 students in preparation of high-stakes assessments. Sample lesson plans and effective, proven instructional practices using Penda Science will be explored in addition to student challenge, competition, and recognition ideas.

Educator Outcomes:

• Review and master Level 1 Penda Science features and functions.

• Gain implementation strategies and ideas for various ways to use Penda Science to drive RTI (all tiers).

• Gain knowledge of the various Penda reports available to progress monitor standards mastery.

• Build teacher capacity and increase Penda usage by exploring additional ways to use Penda Science that support classroom and instructional best practices.

• Master advanced features of Penda by creating intervention groups to support differentiation, RTI Tier 2 intervention, and high-stakes assessment prep
