Course Description More Details
The Tampa Museum of Art would like to invite our Hillsborough County, public and private school teachers to a special Teacher Preview on, Thursday, October 5, from 5-7 PM. The program offers a sneak peek at our exhibitions on view during the spring and fall of 2023 and is free for all teachers and administrators. The cross-curricular, thematic strands running through these exhibitions provide the perfect opportunity for educators to integrate the arts in all subject areas including history, language arts, and social studies. Educators are encouraged to attend with another teacher from a different department or an administrator from their school.
Attend Teacher Preview on September 28, from 5-7pm, and receive:
• Free admission to the galleries
• An opportunity to explore the expanded Education and Gallery spaces
• Light hors d’oeuvres
• Information about tour planning and logistics, including new processes due to the expanded gallery spaces
• Information on how content shared on tours is selected
• Curriculum standards as they relate to the exhibitions
• A look at exhibitions on view and a preview of those opening in Fall 2023
• An opportunity to share feedback and concerns so that the Museum can continue to offer tours tailored to the needs of your students and schools
