THIS TRAINING IS FOR TEACHERS NEEDING THE ESOL 60-HOUR- Category 2 Requirement ONLY. This training will offer 60 hours of ESOL for Category 2/Basic teachers which includes planning, implementation, and identification of best practices and effective strategies for use with ESOL students in the classroom. This course will be provided over a minimum 10-week period through Canvas. All courses are online.
There are no face- to-face meetings/sessions, however, there is a required virtual meeting that will be conducted during the first week of class to provide an overview of important course information.
All ESOL courses are online and completed independently with intermittent, required course deadlines for completion of assignments.
You should only register for one ESOL course. Multiple course registrations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. At the time of registration, please make certain you know your compliance requirements and register for the correct course(s).
The attachment below provides information about the course track for each Category I, II, III, and IV teacher. Please take a moment to review so you register for the correct classes.
