Course Description More Details
THIS SESSION IS FOR SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS ONLY.
This train-the-trainer session prepares participants in de-escalation techniques tailored to students exhibiting high-risk behaviors, including self-injury and threats to others. By emphasizing real-time regulation, relational safety, and structured decision-making, participants will gain practical tools to intervene and coach others through modeling de-escalation strategies, and creating behavior support systems that prioritize safety, dignity, and positive relationships in school. Trainers will be equipped to deliver site-based training that promotes proactive intervention and reduces the need for reactive discipline.
