Course Description More Details
Experience science through the eyes of your ELL students—and leave with tools to teach them better.
This session invites science teachers to step into the perspective of English Language Learners and walk away with strategies they can use immediately. Participants will experience scaffolds from the student perspective and explore how to adapt texts, labs, and discussions to support varying levels of language proficiency. Through hands-on activities and real classroom tools, teachers will learn how to use student language data to plan purposeful groups and write language learning objectives that reflect both science goals and language development needs.
