Integrating PBIS with the 7 Mindsets to Strengthen School Culture
This professional learning session is designed to intentionally align the 7 Mindsets curriculum within the PBIS framework, demonstrating how mindset development strengthens positive behavior systems rather than competing with them.

Participants will:

  • Explore how PBIS expectations (respect, responsibility, and safety) are most effective when paired with the internal beliefs and skills developed through the 7 Mindsets, including We Are Connected, 100% Accountable, and Attitude of Gratitude, to strengthen Tier 1 PBIS practices by fostering belonging, ownership, and intrinsic motivation.
  • Engage in guided discussion, reflection, and practical examples to examine how PBIS tools, such as expectation matrices, acknowledgements, and restorative responses can be infused with consistent 7 Mindsets language to reinforce desired behaviors at a deeper level.
  • Integrates resiliency with PBIS by promoting positive mindsets that reinforce behavioral expectations and build a supportive school culture.
