Course Description More Details
This course is designed for site based teacher leaders (Dept. heads, SALs, team leaders, resource teachers, etc.) that support the growth and practice of teacher pedagogy. This course is the introductory course for the summer Instructional Leadership Academy. Participants who attended last summer DO NOT need to attend again. Participants will learn basic principles for building coaching relationships, practice skills for facilitating positive coaching conversations, and explore the purpose and guiding steps behind effective coaching. Participants will have the opprotunity to apply coaching skills of identifying entry points, collecting data, and debriefing for next steps by observing classroom practice and engaging in practice conversations.
