This course is reserved for Alternative Certification Program Participants Only.  This course has required live virtual meetings.  You must have a working camera and be in a stationary location.

 

This course will provide Alternative Certification Program teachers training in the foundations of reading instruction.  Teachers will develop substantive understanding of six components of reading as a process: comprehension, oral language, phonological awareness, phonics, fluency, and vocabulary. This course complies with the Florida Department of Education requirement for alternate route to certification teachers to include Reading Endorsement Competency 1.
