A look into Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) through the eyes of the Co-Taught classroom. We will explore the basics of SDI from the law to a comparison of SDI and how it differs from accommodations, modifications, and differentiated instruction. We will then explore the categories of SDI and you will be provided with a multitude of examples of instructional approaches to best meet the needs of your students with disabilities. We will look at the documentation of SDI and tying in the use of technology to accomplish this task. Each class will be restricted to 20 participants and take place on Zoom.com The class will consist of a guided presentation lasting about 120 minutes followed by an open forum discussion. Links to the Zoom room will be provided the Friday prior to the start of the class and again the morning of the class.
