This session will provide attendees additional knowledge of behaviors observed in school that relate to anxiety.  They will learn how to identify anxiety in children and adolescents at school and explore the possible causes of the anxiety.  Practical strategies on decreasing anxiety will be discussed.  As a result of this training, participants will be able to identify major stressors that affect children and teens, facilitate self-awareness activities that aim to help individuals learn about signs of stress, apply cognitive-behavioral techniques for examining and challenging negative thought patterns, utilize dialectical behavioral strategies for making positive lifestyle changes, and use pre-tests and post-tests to measure progress.
