This self-paced book study awards 12 hours of inservice credit that counts towards the FELS requirement. This self-paced Canvas course explores Douglas B. Reeves' book, The Learning Leader: How to Focus School Improvement for Better Results.  Reeves stresses that effective leadership is neither a unitary skill nor a solitary activity. The Learning Leader helps leaders reconceptualize their roles in the school improvement process and motivate themselves and their colleagues to keep working to better serve their students. Participants will engage with the text, respond to discussion questions, and reflect on their impact as a leader.

Free access to this book can be found in the HCPS Educator Virtual Library and the Canvas self-enrollment code will be sent in your PDS confirmation email upon registration.
