Course Description More Details
In this course, third through fifth grade teachers will develop a deeper understanding of how to use systematic, explicit instruction incorporating a multisensory approach to phonemic awareness and phonics, at an advanced level. Participants will take part in uncovering the importance of how to teach advanced decoding skills which involves phonological awareness and syllable work. Participants will broaden their knowledge of the morphological level of our language through exposure to roots, prefixes, and suffixes.
This course meets the requirements for explicit reading instruction.
