Course Description More Details
This course designed to help the participants learn to deal with more extreme behaviors that cause significant disruptions in the learning environment and/or are potentially dangerous. The training begins with a discussion on the most effective ways to initially Respond to more extreme behaviors and describes the appropriate levels of response needed for various situations. Participants will be able to demonstrate the steps to Redirect inappropriate behavior, and how to discriminate which consequences are most effective and when to use them to Reduce extreme behaviors. In the last section, the course outlines procedures to Restore a student to the learning environment after they have been removed from class.
This course is being hosted at Carver, but is available to staff at other behaviors. Please email the instructors if you have difficulty registering for the course.
