Course Description
 More Details

This training will be held at the FDLRS Center BEHIND the old McLane Middle School.  The FDLRS Center address is 311 North Kings Avenue, Brandon, FL 33510.

Participants will learn about student sensory integration difficulties while competing in a variety of sensory based team challenges.  This training is designed to be a tool to help parents, professionals and children understand the sensory systems and how to manage hypersensitivity or hyposensitivity to certain input. The training focuses on the child as a whole person as we explore sensory issues, sensory modulation, emotional modulation, and the relationship between the sensory and emotional systems and behavior.

Course outcomes are to understand sensory systems and how they may impact student learning and behavior and to learn specific strategies to address sensory needs in students.
