The YMHFA Re-certification course is designed to reintroduce the Youth MHFA program and refresh understanding of youth mental illness and addiction, provide an update on the latest research around mental illnesses and addictions, and refresh youth mental health first aid skills using the ALGEE Action Plan. This course is not required by FL Statutes.

This course is only applicable to staff who have been trained in the 6-hour Youth Mental Health First Aide course.  Eligible staff must be within 3 months of their three-year expiration date or have an expired certification. This self-paced re-certification course does not require an instructor and will not include a stipend. Once the course is completed, staff will receive a new Certificate of Completion for download. Staff must submit certificate to be awarded two hours of PD points.
