Course Description More Details
In this 3-hour training, participants will acquire knowledge about sound assessment practices in elementary reading that are aligned with the Science of Reading. Participants will gain an understanding of the limitations and instructional issues that necessitated our move away from commonly used assessments, including DRAs and Running Records. Participants will evaluate which reading behaviors are most essential to assess in order to gauge student learning toward grade-level benchmarks and then learn which assessments meet those needs.
