Course Description
 More Details

This six-month professional learning series is designed to prepare middle school teachers for the new Pre-AP World History & Geography course (8th grade, high school credit). Participants will deepen their knowledge of course content and strengthen their practice of historical thinking skills, including sourcing, contextualization, cause and effect, comparison, and argumentative writing. Teachers will review pacing, co-create shared resources and assessments, and plan and practice lessons to ensure they are fully prepared to launch the course next year. This series is ideal for the teacher most likely to be assigned the course, and will support a strong transition into Pre-AP instruction that equips students for future AP coursework.
