 More Details

Sponsored by the Southwest Florida Water Management District.

In this exciting, week-long indoor/outdoor experience you will learn about the freshwater systems in our communities and how they are managed.

Travel to Crystal Springs Preserve, the source of some of the water in the Hillsborough River, explore the river via a canoe trip and visit the water treatment and desalinization plants.

Embedded within the week, you will experience Project WET, Discover a Watershed and Healthy Water/Healthy People workshops and receive the activity guides for each of these stellar programs.  These will include K-12 activities that are hands-on, multi-disciplinary and engaging for your students.

You will need to commit to be present for the full week of training and be ready to be outside for some of the activities as well as provide your own transportation (or carpool with outher participants) to the field sites.
