The updated Implicit Bias training for instructional staff is a self-paced course in Canvas. Participants will receive an overview of the current research about implicit bias, complete and reflect on the results of an implicit association test and consider the role that bias plays in our response to student behavior. Strategies and resources for neutralizing the effects of bias in the classroom are presented. Participants who complete the self-paced portion of the training and the implementation task in Canvas will be awarded 3 hours of in-service credit. Partial points will not be awarded. The Canvas self enrollment code will be sent IN YOUR PDS CONFIRMATION UPON REGISTRATION.
